Volunteer & Internship

• We collaborate with schools and colleges on internships and projects. In the summer of 2011, D.J. Benedict Abraham and N. Naresh Kumar, students from the Madras School of Social Work, Chennai interned with us for 2 months. Besides doing good interview-based documentation of case studies of program alumni, they conducted a 10-day media awareness workshop for children in our Village Learning Centres.


• In Jan. 2011, a team of students from Chennai undertook a cultural exchange program with us. They observed and learned about rural lifestyle by undertaking practical field activities. In turn, they also conducted some programs for our students.


• Anand Nair, a post graduate in Visual Communication and a well-wisher of Aspire Foundation helped us by filmingand editing a video documentary covering parent, student and staff interviews which talked about the need for education related work.


• In Oct. 2009, AkmalRahman and Sumesh, post-graduates in Electronic Media and Mass Communicationat the Madras University, conducted a comprehensive workshop on photography for our scholarship students at PerumalMalai near Kodaikanal.
